Earth Day Service Project

Location of Sweet Run State Park in Virginia

Where

Sweet Run State Park, 11661 Harpers Ferry Road, Hillsboro, VA 20132.
main parking lot, near pollinator garden.

When

April 20, 2024. 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Celebrate Earth Day with a service project to enhance the park's pollinator garden. We'll be laying out a mesh walkway to fill with gravel and create a pathway for visitors to explore the native beauties and pollinators throughout the garden. Located next to the main parking lot, the garden is one of the first features park guests encounter, creating a valuable opportunity to educate about the benefits of native plants. Please dress in layers for the weather and bring garden gloves. Water and snacks will be provided, along with an opportunity to meet like-minded people and feel good about helping Mother Earth.  Kids over 8 welcome.
