Bear Creek Lake State Park, 22 Bear Creek Lake Rd., Cumberland, VA 23040.
Various locations
When
June 1, 2024. 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
We hope that you will take advantage of the trails today to enjoy celebrate all that the trails provide us -- fitness, health, and a sense of well-being. At 10 a.m., join a ranger-led walk to clean up some of those trails and beautify the forest experience. Meet at the Lakeside Snack Bar ramp.
Trail guides are available at the park office and at major trail head kiosks. All the trails in the park are for foot travel only, except for the Cumberland Multiuse Trail (CMT), which is open for hikers, bicyclists, and equestrians. Please be aware that the CMT skirts the park and lies mostly in the Cumberland State Forest managed by the Virginia Department of Forestry (VADOF). Biking and equestrian use of the trail requires an annual Forest Use Permit issued by VA DOF. Foot travel on state forest trails does not require a permit
